These decorative plates are part of the 'Denmark Service' (Danmarksstellet) produced by the renowned Danish porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl, established in 1853. The series features various Danish landmarks and historical buildings meticulously hand-painted on fine porcelain with the characteristic pierced border design that became a hallmark of this collection.

The Denmark Service became particularly popular among collectors of fine porcelain and those with an interest in Danish cultural heritage. These plates were designed not just as functional tableware but as commemorative pieces celebrating Denmark's architectural treasures. Collectors value these pieces for their artistic quality, historical significance, and as representations of Danish national pride and craftsmanship.
