This porcelain hummingbird figurine was created by the prestigious Hungarian porcelain manufacturer Herend, which has been producing fine hand-painted porcelain since 1826. The 'Colibri Mate' (hummingbird) design appears to date from around 1947 and showcases Herend's renowned craftsmanship with its naturalistic form and hand-painted details.

Herend figurines are highly valued by collectors of fine porcelain for their exceptional quality, attention to detail, and artistic merit. The naturalistic coloring and delicate modeling of this hummingbird perched on a branch with berries exemplifies the company's dedication to creating lifelike animal figurines. Collectors of European porcelain, particularly those focusing on Hungarian decorative arts or bird-themed collectibles, prize these pieces for both their aesthetic appeal and the prestigious Herend legacy.
